March 6, 2013: Chris Augustin, of Fort Lauderdale, FL beat out over 400 other divers in a
search through Fort Lauderdale wrecks for clues that lead to a new Aquadive Bathyscaphe 100 watch (value $1990). The Aquadive Great Underwater Watch Hunt celebrated the launch of the new Aquadive watch line, a modern update of the wildly popular original Aquadive watches from the 1960’s.

The Fort Lauderdale Watch Hunt was the second location in an international relaunch of the Aquadive watch brand. The Fort Lauderdale Hunt challenged divers to follow a series of underwater clues placed in wrecks along the famous “wreck trek” on the Fort Lauderdale coast. A total of 200 tokens were hidden by noted Florida wreck diver and Instructor Trainer Hugh Hare, of Underseas Sports in Fort Lauderdale. The program was also supported locally by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitor’s Bureau and South Florida Diving Headquarters.
